Professional Profile

Dr. Xu Qing is a Research Associate Professor at the School of Vehicle and Mobility, Tsinghua University, and a selected member of the National High-level Personnel "Special Support Program" (Ten Thousand Talents Program). His research focuses on Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration (VRCI), specifically addressing vehicle safety control under low-reliability feedback, cooperative platoon control in multi-vehicle systems with low market penetration rates, and cross-scenario formation control for dynamic and complex vehicle-road systems.

Over the past five years, Dr. Xu has presided over more than 20 research projects with total funding exceeding 50 million RMB. These include one project under the National Key R&D Program, two projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and five international cooperation projects.

He has published 68 academic papers, including 35 as the first or corresponding author and 15 in Q1/Top-tier journals. His work has garnered 10 Excellent Paper Awards from domestic and international journals/conferences (2 as first author, 5 as corresponding author) and one Excellent Paper Award from the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). He holds 34 authorized invention patents, with 4 technologies successfully transferred for commercialization. Additionally, he has co-authored two monographs and received a Second Class Award in the 2nd National Textbook Construction Awards.

As a core researcher, Dr. Xu has received numerous prestigious awards, including:

He has led student teams to achieve 3 Championships and 3 Runner-up titles in autonomous driving competitions organized by the NSFC and the World Expo. He co-instructs courses including "Intelligent and Connected Vehicles" and "Autonomous Driving."
