Current research interests: 1) In-wheel-motor drive: new configurations, dynamics and control； 2) Lithium-ion battery: Mechanical-electrochemical coupling mechanism and performance control; 3) Vehicle noise, vibration and harshess: analysis and control

Courses taught: Fundamentals of Vibration Analysis (undergraduate), Fundamentals of Lightweight Design (graduate, fully in English).

Since 2002, a total of 40 master’s students (including 12 international students) and 8 doctoral students (including 1 international student) have graduated under his supervision. Currently, he is supervising 4 doctoral candidates (including 1 student in the Innovative Leadership Engineering Doctoral Program).

Since 2018, he has guided undergraduate scientific and technological innovation activities in conjunction with course instruction. The student teams he has mentored have won the Tsinghua University Challenge Cup Special Award four times, the Capital Challenge Cup Special Award twice, the National Challenge Cup Special Award once, along with numerous other awards at various levels and categories.
