Research Overview

Committed to establishing original theories rooted in the Chinese context, focusing on the key practical challenges of China’s automotive and related industries—being “large but not strong” and “facing bottlenecks in core technologies”—Dr.Li has formed a relatively complete theoretical system of automotive industry evolution around three core research directions: automotive industry evolution and capability formation mechanism, evolution of core technologies in the automotive industry, and automotive industry innovation system. He has achieved three major innovative achievements: establishing the integrated capability theory of industrial and enterprise evolution, revealing the evolution mechanism of industrial core technologies for the first time, and laying the theoretical foundation of the automotive industry innovation system.

He has undertaken more than 40 scientific research projects, including over 30 of them as the Principal Investigator.
