
Mission
The School of Vehicle and Mobility, addressing the major needs of the development of the automobile industry at home and abroad, aims to build an open, international, research-based school, and cultivates top-notch, innovative, versatile talents in the field of automotive engineering through “knowledge teaching, ability cultivation, and value shaping”, with a focus on students’ comprehensive quality training and individualized growth.
Training Objectives
Undergraduate Program: Professional education based on general education. Train high-quality talents versed in automotive engineering technology and management with practical ability, innovative spirit, broad vision and meeting the needs of national and social development.
Postgraduate Program: Strengthening professional education and international cooperation. Train top-notch talents in automotive engineering technology and management with strong professional competence, broad vision and inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural cooperation capability.
Doctoral Program: Research on frontier science and technology. Train technological leading talents with strong scientific and technological vision, leadership and organizational coordination ability, who can play a core role in the national economic and social development and be competitive in the international academic community.
Scholarships and Financial Support System
Outstanding Freshmen Scholarship: The School of Vehicle and Mobility has set up a number of scholarship programs for freshmen in conjunction with well-known automobile companies at home and abroad. Students selected into the scholarship program can receive generous scholarships and development resources during their studies in this major, and have the opportunity to participate in internships in overseas centers of world-class automobile companies such as Ferrari and Volvo, where they can broaden their international vision and develop their global competence.
We Promote Talent” Undergraduate Excellent Graduation Project Support Program: This program is jointly established by the School of Vehicle and Mobility, Volkswagen (China) and Audi (China). Winners of this scholarship can receive a handsome prize, and outstanding winners will receive full funding for exchange visits to famous automobile companies in Germany.
Meng Shaonong Scholarship Series: Named after Mr. Meng Shaonong, technological pioneer of China’s automobile industry and founder of Tsinghua University’s automobile major, the series of scholarships consist of Meng Shaonong-Dongfeng Scholarship, Meng Shaonong-Shaanxi Automobile Scholarship and Meng Shaonong-Fei Yonggang Scholarship, rewarding students with excellent academic performance and continuously supporting educational practice activities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Tsingyan Huake Scholarship: This program mainly select graduate students distinguished for their excellent academic performance, remarkable research ability, courage to explore and innovate, outstanding potential for further development, brilliant comprehensive quality or exceptional performance in a certain aspect.
Didi Technology Scholarship for Students and Scholars: Funded by Didi Technology, the scholarship supports outstanding students and scholars in the School of Vehicle and Mobility. Winners of this scholarship can receive a handsome prize.
IDEO Management Elite Grand Prix Program: The scholarship has been jointly set up by the School of Vehicle and Mobility and Shanghai IDEO Automobile Information Technology Co., Ltd. to improve basic management literacy and professional management literacy, broaden students’ professional vision, and train future elite talents in the automobile industry. Winners can get a handsome prize, and outstanding winners can go to IDEO for internships and participate in cross-disciplinary research projects.
